In Weihenstephan, Peter Kowalsky learned the art of brewing, in his parents’ discotheque, he developed a customer orientation, and during the long years it took for Bionade to become a success story, he developed the necessary perseverance and pragmatism that it takes to successfully place a good idea on the market. After studying at the Technical University of Munich/Weihenstephan, the graduate in Brewing Engineer was initially Technical Manager and Brewmaster at his parents’ brewery in Ostheim. Bionade GmbH emerged from the family business in 1995. Together with his brother Stephan, Peter Kowalsky played a key role in the development and success of the soft drink of the same name. As Managing Partner, Peter Kowalsky was in charge of marketing, sales, PR and sustainable development at Bionade GmbH until the beginning of 2012. Since 2015, he has been the owner and managing partner of INJU GmbH. Here he is responsible for Sales and Production. INJU is a sustainable company based in Berlin. The entrepreneur, who was born in 1968 in Bad Neustadt an der Saale, has already received several awards for his entrepreneurial and social commitment, including “Eco-Manager of the Year 2007”. Also in 2007, Peter Kowalsky received the “Medium-Sized Company of the Year” award. He is also the recipient of the Horizont Award (2007) and the BDU Manager Award (2008), Prize for Cultural Change (2016).
