27. October 2023 – Radialsystem, Berlin

What an honor! After our first conference in 2022, we had the pleasure to welcome Germany’s Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier – who opened the SO:23 on October 27 in 2023.  We then embarked on a journey and paid tribute to some of the first companies that implemented steward-ownership, such as Bosch, Zeiss, Novo Nordisk, and the John Lewis Partnership, which have been living the model for decades and longer. We shared the stories of medium-sized businesses and value-oriented startups that worked toward better conditions today. We also shed light on the potential of this corporate model for the future and for the European social market economy.

We welcomed participants from a wide range of sectors and regions, all of whom contributed their individual perspectives. Together, we created a space where we learned, discussed, and developed from and with each other.
