Lena Marbacher is a freelance journalist, author, and entrepreneur. Her book “ARBEIT MACHT MISSBRAUCH” (Work Creates Abuse) was published by S. Fischer in autumn 2024. Before that, she co-authored the SPIEGEL bestseller “Unlearn Patriarchy” with a contribution on the topic of work.
Lena Marbacher is the founder of the business magazine Neue Narrative and its affiliated publishing house, which is structured in steward-ownership. Previously, she was a partner in a self-organized consulting company. At the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, she works at the oncology research center for early-career scientists, where she focuses on strengthening co-determination in their everyday work. She also serves on the board of Gewaltfrei in die Zukunft e.V. (Nonviolent Future), advocating for prevention and intervention against abuse of power in organizations such as churches, the police, healthcare institutions, sports associations, and start-ups.
As an expert on the future of work, Lena Marbacher speaks to representatives from politics, business, and at conferences. She earned her PhD at the Bauhaus University Weimar.
