Katharina Beck has served as a Member of the German Bundestag for Hamburg since 2021 and is the Green parliamentary group’s spokesperson on financial policy. She also oversees the state development bank KfW as a member of its supervisory board.
Beck co-authored the book Green Ferry – The Ticket to Consistently Sustainable Business, published in 2022. Before entering parliament, she worked as a sustainability consultant for large corporations, served on the supervisory board of an education-focused fintech, founded a company, and led two international organizations.
Alongside her parliamentary work, Beck is active on the advisory board of the Foundation for Steward-Ownership (Stiftung Verantwortungseigentum), advocating for a new legal form with 100% asset lock, and in the Initiative Deutsche Infrastruktur e.V. (IDI), which focuses on securing strong financing for infrastructure.
