Dr. Michael Bolle holds a doctorate in engineering and has held management positions at Bosch since 1992 – with an interruption as founder of a high-tech start-up from 1999 to 2002. Most recently, he was Managing Director as well as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Digital Officer (CDO) of Robert Bosch GmbH. During his time at Bosch, he advanced the development of the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence and the connection of the Internet of Things with artificial intelligence (AIoT), among other things. Since 01.01.2022, Dr. Michael Bolle has been Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Carl Zeiss Foundation and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the foundation companies Carl Zeiss AG and SCHOTT AG. Dr. Michael Bolle has a strong interest in innovations, technologies and start-ups and is an active member of the Quantum Community in Germany. He is currently also a spokesperson for the Quantum Systems Programme Committee of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
