Prof. Dr. Götz E. Rehn, born on 2 March 1950 in Freiburg, is the founder and Managing Director of Alnatura Produktions- und Handels GmbH, based in Darmstadt. With a doctorate in economics, he founded Alnatura in 1984 under the motto “Sensible for people and the earth”.
There are currently around 1,300 Alnatura products. These are sold in 151 Alnatura Super Natur stores in Germany as well as in about 13,400 branches of various trade partners in Germany and abroad. Since 2007, Götz Rehn has held an honorary professorship at Alanus University, where he heads the Institute for Social Organics that he founded. In 2021, Götz Rehn was awarded the German Founder’s Prize for his life’s work.
Some years ago, Götz Rehn decided on a double foundation model for Alnatura, consisting of a charitable foundation and a family foundation.
