Prof. Dr. Katharina Pistor, born in 1963, is Edwin B. Parker Professor of Comparative Law and Director of the Center on Global Legal Transformation at Columbia University Law School in New York. Her research receives international attention and recognition. In 2012 she was awarded the Max Planck Research Prize and in 2014 the Best Paper Prize of the European Corporate Governance Institute. Her 2019 book The Code of Capital was named one of the best books by the Financial Times and Business Insider.
