Leandro Burguete is co-founder and managing director of Haferkater, a café concept with over 30 locations specializing in porridge. Together with two friends, he opened the first café in Berlin in 2014. After participating in a start-up competition organized by Deutsche Bahn, Haferkater expanded to train stations and airports across Germany and Austria.
The founders grew Haferkater into a successful business with a system-wide revenue of over €20 million. In 2024, with the support of Purpose Ventures and other purpose-driven investors, they bought back the shares from the existing shareholders to transition Haferkater into steward-ownership.
