Jürgen Kaube

Jürgen Kaube was born in Worms on June 19th, 1962. He studied Philosophy, German Literature & Language, and Art History, followed by Economics – as a romantic addition – at the Free University of Berlin. Reading Niklas Luhman sparked his passion for sociology. A university assistantship briefly took him to Bielefeld. In 1992 he started working as a freelancer for the “Feuilleton” of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and became part of the editorial team in 1999 – first as a Berlin correspondent and since September 2000 working from Frankfurt. He is head of the “Science and Education Policy” department and became Head of the Department for „Humanities“ in August 2008, and the „New Non-Fiction“ in 2012. Since 2012, he is Deputy Head of the Feuilleton. In January 2015, Jürgen Kaube became one of the four publishers of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
